Grouper

It is a strong fish and is widely known in the Gulf. It lives long hours after taken out of the sea. It lives around coral reefs and sand beds. It feeds on small fish and crabs. It is long and big. It is yellowish with prominent brown spots and big fins. It swims slowly.

Streaked Rabbitfish
|
It is one of the famous fish in Bahrain. They live in schools and feed on sea grass. It is small or medium size and has an oval shape. It is olive in colour with some pale spots. It has a sharp thorn in front of the back fin as well as anal and tale fins. It swims slowly in the waves near the coasts.

Gray Grunt
|
It is dark and lives away from the coasts in seabed. It feeds on invertebrates. It is grey or olive grey and well-built. It has big scales, a small mouth, light black fins and straight tale. It swims slowly.

Flower
|
It is the first stage of fruit. It comes out from the pollen in thread form with small balls. The female is pollinated through moving the male flowers (Fahhal) which are crushed into flour and spread on the female flowers. The male pollen is normally hard and scattered while the female flower is soft and solid.

Palm Shot
|
The palm shot grows near the mother palm tree. For reproduction, the palm shot is uprooted and grown in a fertile soil. Enough space is left between palm shots for better quality. The palm shot is wrapped in canvas for protection against sun light until its well rooted in the ground

Ripe Dates
|
The size of fruits increases as a result of the hot weather and the green dates become yellow or red according to the type of the palm tree. The first dates are Mubasher and Mawaji. Some of the ripe dates are dried to make dates honey.

Green Dates
|
It is the first stage of fruits, which has good smell. Green dates begin as small green balls where the bunch is wrapped to protect the palm tree's fruits. The fallen green dates are collected and made in necklaces decorated by the pomegranate red flowers. This stage indicates the arrival of summer and the dates season.
